How do I change the drive belt on a Honda HRR2162SDA mower
Honda HRR2162SDA push mower uses the rear transmission initiative to make it easier to use the mower. When you press the lever drive propels forward lawn mower. It uses power from the motor shaft and pulley system for transmission. Eventually the belt wears and when pressing the lever drive belt will just spin on the rollers. When this happens, replace the belt.

I can't figure out how to get the new drive belt onto the transmission pulley. I have the blades off, one debris shield off, and no way to squeeze the new belt between the deck and the trans. pulley.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the secret to accomplishing this?
Thanks,
Terry
I have the same problem. Did you ever get a response ? If so, would appreciate if you could share it >

I had to loosen the tensioner (bolt under discharge chute and nut on bolt holding spring next to transmission). Put a 10mm wrench on the nut and then loosened bolt til almost loose. This gave me enough room to pull transmission loose enough to get belt on pulley. Tightened it back. Not sure how much to tighten it, but I think you tighten as much as reasonably possible.
